Cinnamon Almond Butter Pancakes

Jul 24, 2010 by lanashabit

Happy Saturday Morning!!

I woke up around 9am and lurred myself out of bed for Cinnamon AB Pancakes and a green monster. I used 1/2 frozen banana, 1 C. soy milk and 2 C. of spinach in the green monster.

Cinnamon Almond Butter Pancakes

1/3 C. Old-fashioned oatmeal
3 Egg whites
1/4 C. Vanilla soy milk
1 T. Almond Butter
1 t. Vanilla
1 t. Cinnamon
Cooking spray

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and mix for 1 minute
  2. Lightly spray skillet with cooking spray and preheat on medium setting
  3. Pour batter and cook until pancake firms then flip

Delish!

I woke up late (yes, 9am is late) because we enjoyed a fabulous night out on the town!! Yesterday marked the beginning of the Saratoga track season. Everyone was out and live music could be found around every corner. We, of course, decided to go to the Latin club!! We are finally starting to get out of the ‘beginner’ stage and really feel comfortable dancing. The lessons have really payed off, but it is so beneficial to practice outside of class. We made up our own moves were able to watch the better dancers and learn a couple of new turns. It was a blast! I enjoyed a nice glass of Malbec… (sorry for the horrible picture quality)

…and bought a new coffee mug from a souvenir shop. I now have a coffee mug from each of the major cities I’ve been to this summer: Montreal, New York City, Niagara Falls and Saratoga Springs. A summer recap post will definitely be needed. Can you spy the coffee mug? :)

My mom also sent me Arbonne FC5. The box contains Day Lotion with SPF 20, a Hydrating Cleanser + Freshener and Moisturizing Night Creme. I used the Arbonne Intelligence line about 6 years ago and absolutely loved it. I’ll have to size-up Arbonne FC5 and let you know what I think.

I recently bought an Olay Anti-Aging Night Creme because I figured your never too young to be proactive. My only complaint is that it is too thick. I like moisturizers to to be light so I don’t feel like I am putting goo on my face before I go to bed. What brand of moisturizers do you use? How old were you when you started using an anti-aging creme?

On the agenda for today:

  • Horse Racing in Saratoga
  • Darius Rucker & Brad Paisley concert at 4pm (i’m not a country music fan, but a friend won an extra ticket and gave it to me…It should still be a good time with great company none-the-less)
  • See Salt with my roomie at the movie theater

Ahh I’m so excited to see someone else who uses the FC5 line! I used the Intelligence line too, then when I went to order more last summer, it wasn’t there?!?! Then I came across this gem…I absolutely love it. I wish they had the rest of the line like the Intelligence had (with the spray and thermal mask). How do you like it?? :)

    • I definitely miss the thermal mask from the Intelligence line. That stuff was amazing!! My mom started using the RE9 Advanced line (which has the spray) a couple of months ago and I can already tell a difference!! I love the FC5 line too…soooo much better than the Olay stuff I was using. The creme and lotion are a lot lighter and my skin always feels better after using the wash!
